Preservation Warrenton published in 2002 a Walking Tour brochure improving upon an earlier brochure of the same name. The brochure includes a map and description of 47 points of interest. It also includes a bit of history about the area and a list of the 21 buildings or areas in Warrenton that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
A DRIVING TOUR OF WARREN COUNTY
In 2002, Preservation Warrenton also produced A
Driving Tour of Warren County brochure that includes about 70 entries on its map. The county is so large and the points of interest so many that it is divided into areas from which a tourist may choose to shorten the trip. The brochure was chosen by the North Carolina Society of Historians for the prestigious Paul Green Multimedia Award in 2002. The judges commented that the brochure is "expertly produced and contains a wealth of information". It takes a driver into every nook and cranny of Warren County....."a phenomenal project that will benefit many for a long time to come". The brochure has been called the mother of all tour guides. The brochure is available for a contribution.
In 2006, Preservation Warrenton published a historical video entitled "Warren County North Carolina - The First Three Centuries." The organization's video committee did the historical research and the script was written by Bryan T. Smithey of Warrenton. Dr. Marion Lark of Henderson was narrator. Filming of the video was done by Tom Peace of Henderson. The video contained an original soundtrack produced by Rob Slater and Alex Forsyth of Greensboro. Preservation Warrenton held the Premiere Showing of the video on March 25, 2006. The video received the prestigious Paul Green Multimedia Award presented by the North Carolina Society of Historians in October of 2006. The judges commented that the DVD was "jam-packed with information." The DVD may be purchased for $16.00.

A major project begun in 2007 and completed in 2008, is the J.S. and Mary L. Green Wortham Memorial Garden, situated on the corner of South Main Street and Franklin Street. The garden has added greatly to the beauty of the town. Through the generosity of Charles S. Grady and many others, Preservation Warrenton very proudly presents the garden for all citizens and visitors to enjoy.
Preservation Warrenton is very proud of all of its accomplishments as the
Directors work to
